Supporting Nepal and its people is in the DNA of the Diyi for Kids Foundation. Even before the foundation was established, we were connected to the country. In 2015, one of the largest earthquakes shook the country. Dina was hiking in the Tsum Valley at the time and experienced the magnitude of the earthquake directly on site. With the establishment of the foundation, we therefore also wanted to specifically collect donations for Nepal. We are now even more pleased to announce our third Nepal project: Together with Plan International, we want to support the project “Vocational Future and Work for Young People” in the regions of Dhanusha and Sindhuli in eastern Nepal. Especially women and young people in the region are affected by unemployment. Culturally influenced role models, as well as the few opportunities to obtain an educational qualification, are reasons for this. Plan International wants to improve the situation of the young people with entrepreneurial training and further education and thus give them better chances for the future. You can find the project overview and the current project description here. We would be happy if you support us and the people in Nepal.
