The 8th International Foundation Meeting of Stiftung Hilfe mit Plan was much more than just an event for me. It was a place filled with inspiration, meaningful encounters, and people united by one shared purpose: creating a better future for children.
As the founder of the Diyi for Kids Foundation, I know that every foundation has its own story, its own passion projects, and its own unique journey. That is why opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and develop new initiatives together are so valuable.

I was particularly inspired by my conversation with Sabine and Karl-Heinz from the Breuch-Schickedanz Stiftung-Teamgeist. Their strong commitment to education, children’s rights, and empowering young people demonstrates the incredible impact that can be achieved when foundations share their knowledge, experience, and vision. While every foundation has its own focus, we are united by the same mission: creating opportunities for children and helping them build brighter, more sustainable futures.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with Dr. Werner Bauch. His decades of dedication to advancing children’s rights around the world, and his unwavering belief that every child deserves the opportunity to lead a self-determined life, continue to inspire me.
My heartfelt thanks also go to Stephanie Forman, who has been supporting us with great dedication since last year. It is personal connections like these that transform a community into a true foundation family.
For the Diyi for Kids Foundation, partnerships like these are invaluable. Together with Stiftung Hilfe mit Plan, we have already supported projects that open new opportunities for girls and young people—from providing safe learning environments in remote mountain regions to improving access to vocational education and creating brighter futures in Nepal. Behind every project are children, families, and communities whose lives are changing, one step at a time.
I returned home with fresh ideas, inspiring conversations, and, above all, the feeling of being part of a network that proves what is possible when people join forces. When we work together, we create hope—and hope is exactly what children need now more than ever.
