Successful annual closing 2023

Feb 18, 2024

Good news: We are delighted to announce that we have closed the year 2023 with a total donation amount of 5,100 euros. What happens with the money? The sum is divided among our three partner projects. We want to take this opportunity to take a closer look at these wonderful projects that we will continue to support this year because their work is so important:

1. Plan International: Donation amount: 2,100 euros. With our “Nepal Project,” we advocate for better career opportunities for young people. Plan International focuses on vocational training and entrepreneurial education to provide young people, especially women, with better prospects for the future. For example, with around 830 euros, the costs for vocational training for an apprentice can be covered. With 1,500 euros, Plan International can set up 8 childcare rooms, enabling mothers to participate in further education.

2. Reading mentors for Berlin: Donation amount: 1,000 euros. In the “LeseLust” project of the Berlin Citizens’ Foundation, volunteer reading mentors engage in Berlin daycare centers and schools to promote children’s joy of reading and literacy. The Berlin Citizens’ Foundation needs around 1,000 euros to conduct the “LeseLust” project at a daycare center or school for an entire year. We are proud to support this important project and improve access to education for children in our region.

3. Red Noses – Clowns Bring Laughter to Refugee Children: Donation amount: 1,000 euros. The “Red Noses” aim to bring joy and hope to refugees, especially children, for a moment. With their performances in a refugee community near Berlin, they bring some lightness into the lives of the people here and contribute to psychosocial support and integration.

The regular foundation expenses for, e.g. website hosting and maintenance, fundraising as well as the foundation administration including the preparation of the balance sheet, we have financed also in 2022 from the general donations and from our own funds.

The mission of the Diyi for Kids Foundation is to promote the education and upbringing of children and young people. With our project partners and thanks to the help of our supporters and donors, we have made progress. This year, we will support the three mentioned partner projects again and we look forward to your continued support. Together for the good cause! Together for better education for children and young people!
