Project “Safe Learning in Remote Mountain Regions of Nepal” Fully Funded

Sep 4, 2023

Fundraising goal achieved! Many thanks to all our supporters!

A total of €3,150 was raised for Plan International. This enabled the Diyi for Kids Foundation to contribute to achieving the fundraising goal of Plan Nepal’s project “Safe Learning in Remote Mountain Regions of Nepal.”

Thanks to the project, a total of 3,660 students now has access to high-quality, inclusive education in a safe environment, as well as improved water and sanitation facilities. The two schools in the Jumla district that were destroyed by the 2015 earthquake were completely renovated as part of the project. Both schools now also have barrier-free access in the form of ramps. The schools were also equipped with desks, chairs, and shelves. The measures benefit 715 schoolchildren and 30 teachers. Training courses have also made everyone involved more aware of their responsibility to protect the school against natural disasters.

A big thank you to all donors and supporters of this success. The official final report can be found [here].

We present our new Nepal project here. This Plan International project promotes vocational training and further education for young men and women to give them career prospects and thus income security. 550 young people benefit from the project. > To the project presentation.
