Climate Art School Project – Funding unfortunately not achieved

Jul 17, 2018

The “KlimaKunstSchule – Die artistic seed” at the Alfred Nobel School is described in more detail here:The vision: Art sows ideas that have the potential to develop into smaller and larger projects at school; ideas that are nurtured and cultivated by the students and their teachers.

The KlimaKunstSchule program develops the format of the so-called artistic seed. The artistic seed is an artistic impulse that enables new perspectives on complex topics and allows participants to recognize new possibilities for action. Students work on one or more action days with artists who are convinced that their art can contribute to social change. As part of an artistic seed, the artists provide insight into their artistic work, allowing participants to experience creative processes and unusual perspectives and approaches. Students and artists work together using artistic methods to address socially relevant topics (climate change, migration, demographic change, digitalization, etc.). The artistic process and the encounter with the artists provide strong and effective impetus for action-oriented reflection on one’s own role in social interaction.

Artistic seeds reach young people who are not particularly attracted to conventional, often theory-driven approaches. They are inspired and encouraged to get involved, cooperate, and take responsibility together.Information about the project at the Alfred Nobel School in Berlin NeuköllnAs part of an artistic seed, the artists provide insight into their artistic work, allowing participants to experience creative processes and unusual perspectives and approaches.
